RACE OF THE DAY RACE 7 – PICK: KID MERCURY (4/1 ML)
A decent Allowance contest with a decent sized field. CAPTAIN HARDSHIP brings the class edge and this looks a good spot to get back to winning ways on the class drop. KID MERCURY is from the same barn as the latter named and looks just as interesting being only three and with a bit of improvement still on the cards. MARSHALL LAW is a reserve, but if getting a run would be a danger to all given the form of last season. FELIX THE FOX got a bit of a wide trip last time out and is a player on the win the time before.
A tricky puzzle, but I get the feeling KID MERCURY could have more to offer than some of these and rates the bet.
