RACE OF THE DAY - RACE 10

ESSENTIAL QUALITY is unbeaten in two outings and is a big old unit of a horse, looking more like a 3 year old. He has a big engine too and the way he stretched out in the final furlong was impressive last time out at this venue. JACKIE'S WARRIOR is unbeaten in all 4 outings so far and has demolished all opposition in those wins, but has just beaten the same horse twice on the last two of those wins and it is possible this looks stronger obviously. SITTIN ON GO could be the joker in the pack because he has looked to be improving at a fast pace and there was plenty to like about the way he won last time out.

ESSENTIAL QUALITY is a big bull of a horse and looks star quality for a top outfit and can edge out the so far unbeaten JACKIE’S WARRIOR.

OTHER RACES

RACE 7

There are some very good European raiders in this race with chief among them NEW MANDATE and CADILLAC. The former has the booking of Frankie Dettori so that has been a big positive on days like these and the form of his win at Newmarket looks decent enough. The latter brings Group 1 form into this race and was possibly a bit unlucky too in that race at Newmarket last month. Another European raider is BATTLEGROUND who won a Group 2 contest in Ireland last time out, that is possibly a bit weaker form that the two mentioned already but his connections are no strangers to success at the Breeders Cup. MUTASAABEQ heads the home team challenge and is not one to discount given his connections.

CADILLAC brings the best form into this contest with an unlucky run at Newmarket in a classy Group 1 last time out.

RACE 8

This looks a tricky puzzle with all runners seemingly in with a chance. My vote goes to DAYOUTOFTHEOFFICE who should be well suited by the distance of today’s race.

RACE 9

CAMPANELLE has to show she stays this distance, but there is no reason to think she won’t and she brings the best form into this by some way.
