Best Bet: CHANCE TO EXCEL (6/5 ML) - RACE 8
The Ed Burke Million Futurity is a premier Group 1 1/4 horse contest with the winner getting $700,000 dollars. The starting point has to be CHANCE TO EXCEL who, since moving to the all conquering Monty Arrossa barn, has be transformed into a speeding bullet, winning both starts for the barn. The last victory came in a super quick time in a trail for this contest and he was geared down to win by plenty. The main danger is LA JACONDE who has won three on the bounce, the last one geared down at heavy odds on. TERRIFIC TEMPER was runner up behind CHANCE TO EXCEL on the latest run, but that was still a good effort and possibly is one to throw into the exotics along with THATS R BEST CARD, who is unbeaten in two lifetime starts
CHANCE TO EXCEL & LA JACONDE are the two obvious candidates to take the big pot, both are draw on either wing so the fight will be very interesting. CHANCE TO EXCEL looks the speedier of the two and comes from a barn that can do little wrong at the moment, so gets my vote

RACE 9– RUNAWAY INDY (2/1 ML)
RUNAWAY INDY has been running at Golden Gate Fields in stringer races this season and looks worthy of strong consideration in this low grade. EURODOLLAR showed his best form so far when runner up last time out at this track and trip, but that was a very weak race. SOMETHING CHATTER did not make the track until this season aged 6, but she has less convictions than many and may be a player.
RUNAWAY INDY is not going to get many better opportunities than this and is the play.
RACE 6 - PAPPASLILEAGLE (8/5 ML)
PAPPASLILEAGLE & REMEMBERING FROSTY look the two to concentrate on with both having decent chances of scoring in this company. REMEMBERING FROSTY possibly has the just about the best form but PAPPASLILEAGLE gets my selection given the barn she comes from is in red hot form of late
