Saratoga Horse Racing Picks - Monday September 7

Carl Nicholson previews the card at Saratoga on Monday:

RACE OF THE DAY RACE 13

ACKIE'S WARRIOR has scored well on both runs so far, the latter being an improved effort at this track. Maybe that was not the greatest of contests for the grade but still warrants plenty of respect in search of the hat trick bid. MUTASAABEQ won on debut for top connections and was pretty impressive, the 2nd however has bombed out since so the form could be questionable. REINVESTMENT RISK won by plenty on his debut at this track last month and that marks this son of Upstart as a colt to follow. NUTSIE is worth a mention as one of the outsiders, he is a well related type and won well enough on debut to suggest a decent future.

REINVESTMENT RISK look the play in this having been so impressive on debut and NUTSIE could be one for the forecast plays at big odds.

OTHER RACES

RACE 4

ROAD TO MEATH should be very hard to beat dropping down into this sort of company. He is now 5 but should hold a decent class edge over this opposition.

RACE 6

CHATEAU is taking on weaker opposition than in previous runs and if he reproduces the 2nd place effort form his last run he should take the beating.

RACE 8

BALLAGH ROCKS looks worth a play at decent morning line prices, he is getting on a bit at aged 7 but he has run solidly the last twice and is no back number in this.
