Carl Nicholson previews the card at Saratoga on Saturday.

We go Group Class racing-tastic at Saratoga today and Grade 1 Whitney Stakes looks a very intriguing renewal. Many will want to be with TOM'S D'ETAT who arrives into this on the back of 2 impressive wins this season, the last of them by a wide margin and he has obviously strong claims. CODE OF HONOR was 3rd in the latest outing in the Grade 1 Runhappy Metropolitan Handicap Stakes at Belmont Park over 1m last month, and on that form is another strong candidate. But I like the chances of the Bob Baffert trained IMPROBABLE who improved to score very easily last time out and has more scope than any of these to show even more now upped in class for a trainer who has few peers when it comes to knowing what he has in Group 1’s

MIDNIGHT BISOU looks to have a penalty kick in this Grade 1 Personal Ensign Stakes, she is an outstanding mare who should have way too much for this field. VEXATIOUS could be the one to chase her home for the forecast.

This Grade 1 H. Allen Jerkens Stakes Presented By Runhappy looks to have a tricky look. Plenty will want to be with NO PAROLE who comes into this in great form, but I think he looks one to take on and I will be with TAP IT TO WIN, who underperformed last time out ; but is well worth another chance.

SADLERS JOY ran well in the Grade 1 Manhattan Stakes at Belmont Park last time out and can make the most of this slight drop in grade to get back to winning ways.
